Joseph Aguayo, Cybersecurity Data Science
Joseph is a Cybersecurity Data Science expert at Chubb. Prior to joining Chubb, he served as the Head of Critical Infrastructure Protection at Truist, where he was responsible for safeguarding the bank’s technology, business processes, employees, and customers. His team produced the formal cybersecurity analytics for the merger integration of BB&T and SunTrust (creating the sixth-largest bank in the US). He is recognized as a subject matter expert in electronic payment security with four active patent applications.
Prior to joining Truist, Joseph served at the US Department of Defense where he developed cutting-edge cloud platforms and analytics for computer security and identity management. As a computer scientist, he has held research appointments at North Carolina State University and the University of Maryland College Park.
Joseph received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Oklahoma, where he was a member of the Journal of Law and Technology. He holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of Tulsa, and maintains CISSP certification.
