Williams Named Goodnight Distinguished University Professor

Congratulations to Dr. Laurie Williams on being named the inaugural Goodnight Distinguished University Professor in Security Sciences at NC State University. A faculty member in the Department of Computer Science at NC State for two decades, Williams is a leader of the university’s efforts in cybersecurity. She is the co-director of NC State’s Secure Computing Institute, is director of the Secure Software Supply Chain Center located at NC State and backed by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and is co-director of the North Carolina Partnership for Cybersecurity Excellence funded by the National Security Agency (NSA). Zhishan Guo Receives RTSS Best Paper Award

Enck and Williams Win Best Paper Award in IEEE Privacy & Security Magazine

Congratulations to Drs. William Enck and Laurie WIlliams, professors in the NC State Computer Science Department, on being awarded a 2022 Best Paper Award in the IEEE Security & Privacy magazine by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Computer Society Publications Board. The winning paper is “Top Five Challenges in Software Supply Chain Security: Observations From 30 Industry and Government Organizations.” The paper appeared in IEEE Security & Privacy, vol. 20, no.2, pp 96-100, March/April 2022. Esports Lab Opens in Hunt Library – NC State’s newest competitive sport now has a home - and for the time being, it’s on the fourth floor of Hunt Library. The NC State Gaming and Esports Lab, featuring 35 gaming PCs and four console stations, opened earlier this week and will support the NC State Esports program. Read More »

Personalized Job Search Agent in ePack

If you are a CSC student or recent graduate (within 12 months post-graduation) and would like to receive email notifications when new jobs are posted on ePack matching your profile, you can set up your own customized job search agent to receive just the postings you desire (intern vs. full time, etc). For a short video tutorial on how to create your own personalized job agent, click here.

The Alumni Association has partnered with the University Career Development Center to make ePACK available to NC State alumni. If you are a current Alumni Association member, update your online profile by visiting the Wolfpack Connect (alumni directory) and click on the ‘Update My Info’ tab on the upper right side of the page. Select the ‘Career Connections’ tab and then choose ‘yes’ beside the question, ‘Do you want access to ePACK?’

To access ePACK you must be a member of the Alumni Association and you must be an alumnus/alumnae of NC State. If you are not a member of the Alumni Association, you can join online. Once you have received an email confirming your membership, you will be able to register for access to ePACK.
