Department Congratulates Two 'Pride of the Wolfpack' Award Winners
Two members of the Computer Science Department IT staff have been selected as recipients of the "Pride of the Wolfpack" Awards. Jeremy Meeler and Trey Murdoch, Operations and Systems Analysts, were recognized for the month of June 2011.
The awards are designed to recognize NC State employees for a special or unique contribution to their college/unit or the University. Criteria for the award include: leadership on the job, customer focus, and quality of service.
Meeler (left) was recognized for his helpfulness and willingness to “go the extra mile” with computer science faculty and staff. Per his nomination: “He is always willing to assist and explain the options to us so we can select which route to take… When new upgrades are installed, he always comes up and goes over the changes and lets everyone feel comfortable with the changes before he leaves. He is very customer-oriented to the staff and also to the faculty for their labs.”
Murdoch (right) was recognized for his willingness to go “above and beyond to help when needed.” Per his nomination: “Trey assisted us with the CSC Spring Diploma Ceremony by loading and transporting all of our supplies to the location of the event. He helped with set up, tear down and clean up – not your usual IT staff responsibilities! As far as his IT responsibilities go, he is always quick to respond to issues or questions, and is always patient, helpful and professional when solving our problems.”
Congratulations to both of you, and thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the Computer Science Department and the College.
