Xipeng Shen, Associate Professor of Computer Science at NC State, proposes a new project titled “Supporting Position Independence and Reusability of Data on Byte-Addressable Non-Volatile Memory” funded by the National Science Foundation. Total amount funded is $499,998, and the award runs from August 16, 2017 to July 31, 2020.
Shen’s NVM project aims to provide novel programming system-level support of persistency to the upcoming next generation of memory. His proposal specifically focuses on effective support of the portability and reusability of dynamic data structures on NVM.
