More Than 300 Grads Expected at the 2019 Spring Diploma Ceremony
Please join us for the NC State University Computer Science Department Spring Diploma Ceremony on Friday, May 10th at 1:00 p.m. The ceremony will be held in the James T. Valvano Arena inside William Neal Reynolds Coliseum on the campus of NC State University, located at 2411 Dunn Avenue, Raleigh (directions).
Jim Fletcher, a Strategy Partner with Momenta Partners, will provide the keynote address.
Fletcher is an independent advisor at Momenta focused on helping clients worldwide to drive Digital Transformation across a range of industries. He is a former IBM Distinguished Engineer, CTO for the Watson IOT Platform, IBM Master Inventor, and member of the IBM Academy. He has extensive experience around Connected Industry (Cloud and IOT) with a strong focus on Edge Computing, and the role of analytics in driving business transformation.
Fletcher holds over 60 patents and is a regular speaker at conferences worldwide on a range of emerging topics. He is a member of the NC State University Executive in Residence program and was recently inducted into the NC State University Computer Science Hall of Fame. He graduated from NC State with a BS in Computer Science in 1976.
More than 300 graduates are expected to receive their degrees during the ceremony. Our special thanks go to the NC State Engineering Foundation and the ePartners Program for their generous sponsorship of this event.

There are several ways to commemorate this special occasion. As each graduate is handed his/her diploma, a professional photographer will take his/her picture. A free color proof will be sent to each graduate’s current mailing address, including a password for online viewing. There is no obligation to purchase prints.
