Abstract: Artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics and automation, internet of medical things (IoMT), digital twins... These technological advancements are poised to revolutionize healthcare. Their combined power has the potential to improve diagnostic accuracy, accelerating the development of new therapies and enabling the personalization of patient care. Additionally, they can streamline tasks to maximize operational efficiencies, allowing clinicians to focus on patient care and make better informed decisions. We will examine the current state of these technologies and the optimal future state required to transform healthcare delivery. We will also explore how healthcare organizations can deploy these technologies to enable a connected and cost-effective healthcare eco-system—one primed to improve patient outcomes, streamline healthcare delivery and accelerate development of novel therapies.
