ITECS Service Outage
As a consequence of the scheduled network hardware upgrades in POEhub announced at http://sysnews.ncsu.edu/news/447dd64b, ITECS-provided file, database, web, and local and remote login services will be severely degraded or entirely unavailable for a one hour window occurring sometime between 6:00 a.m. and Noon this Sunday, June 4.
In short, all services that ITECS provides to the College of Engineering will be impacted. Engineering web sites will be partially or fully off-line, AFS lockers will be unavailable, system logins will not function, and databases will be inaccessible. Systems staff will be notified once the network upgrade has been completed and will resolve any service delivery issues that may remain.
VCL services will also be affected by the Poe Networking hardware upgrade. Expect all VCL services to be unavailable 6am until noon, June 4.
