Donations & Sponsors Needed for Online Auction
Proceeds to Create New Scholarship Endowment
Donations are needed for our first-ever online auction to raise money for a new 40th Year Scholarship Endowment.
Think you have nothing to donate? Think again.
Own or work at a business, which could donate a valuable product or service? Have a vacation home, which you could donate the use of for a week or weekend? Have season tickets to Wolfpack football or basketball, or a professional sports team like the Carolina Hurricanes or the Carolina Panthers, which you might be able to donate for a game? Are you member of a Golf or Country Club, and able to donate a few rounds of golf?
Even if you don’t have anything to donate, perhaps you know someone who might. Please pass this on to them and invite them to consider supporting this worthy cause.
All donations will be treated as gift-in-kind donations to the NC State Engineering Foundations, and most will 100% tax-deductible (as always, consult your tax advisor if you have questions).
We need Event Sponsors too.
If you own a business and want some great exposure, consider becoming one of our event sponsors. Your company logo and web link will be prominently displayed on the auction site and in all auction communications. For more information on sponsoring the auction, contact Ken Tate.
Best of all, the proceeds from this auction will help create a new scholarship endowment, which will be appropriately called the 40th Year Scholarship Endowment. You can take great pride in knowing that your donations and support are helping future generations of computer science students!
If you live outside North Carolina and know that you will not be able to participate in any of the other 40th Year celebratory events and activities, this is your chance to get involved and make a real difference.
Several items have already been donated including trips, restaurant gift certificates and special sports collectibles.
The bidding begins officially on September 15th and closes on October 31st.
Visit the online auction site or contact Ken Tate for more information about donating, bidding, or becoming a sponsor.
