Fall 2007 Diploma Ceremony Set for December 19
The NC State Department of Computer Science will hold its fall diploma ceremony on Wednesday, December 19th at 1:30 pm in beautiful Meymandi Concert Hall at the Progress Energy Center for Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh (directions).
As our department celebrates its 40th year this semester, we are honored to have Paul Jones (B.S. ’72), one of our very first graduates, return to deliver the keynote address.
Jones is the Director of Ibiblio.org, home to one of the largest "collections of collections" on the Internet, a conservancy of freely available information, including software, music, literature, art, history, science, politics, and cultural studies. Ibiblio.org is a collaboration of the School of Information and Library Science and the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at The University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.
Over 100 graduates are expected to receive their degrees during the ceremony.
For the convenience of our guests who might require overnight accommodations, we suggest the Sheraton Raleigh located at 421 S. Salisbury Street. For reservations, call the hotel at 919-834-9900 and ask for the NC State University rate.
