Abstract:

On-line value-added services enable a client to purchase services from Service Provider (SP) via the Internet using the client's computers or smart mobile devices. Because of the sensitive information that may be involved, client anonymity is always required in such transactions so that the client's identity is known only to the client and the requested SP. In this talk, I will talk about INDEX, an ID-based remote authentication scheme with client anonymity. INDEX provides client anonymity using the concept of client index, which is guaranteed by a new design of ID-based signature. Compared with previous ID-based schemes, INDEX reduces the running time while still providing client anonymity for the first time.
