Bio

Isabella White is an assistant teaching professor in the Department of Computer Science at NC State University. She serves as director of cybersecurity education and director of graduate programs for the Master of Science in Cybersecurity. She joined the department in July 2024 after earning her Ph.D. and M.S. in computer science from NC State.

White’s research focuses on computing education, with an emphasis on K–12 curriculum design and project-based learning. Her work has been published in SIGCSE conferences, exploring the landscape of computing education research and its classroom applications. As director of cybersecurity education, she mentors undergraduate students in cybersecurity scholarship programs and helps facilitate SECURE IT summer camps and workshops for middle school students.

White holds open hours for the Master of Science in Cybersecurity program on Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. ET through June 19, 2025. She also offers course-specific office hours for CSC 379 and CSC 472 on Tuesdays by appointment. Appointments can be scheduled via her calendar.
