Master’s Degrees

Master of Science

The Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science is a research-oriented degree. The M.S. with thesis degree has two components: completion of a designated curriculum, and completion and defense of a thesis that describes original research.

The Master of Computer Science program is a terminal professional degree program. The degree is based on course work. No research, thesis or comprehensive examination is required. MCS students are normally self-supported, and some enroll on a part-time basis.

The Master of Science degree program in Computer Networking is intended for students with Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering undergraduate degrees who wish to pursue careers in operations, services, development and research in the networking and IT industry. Master of Science in Cybersecurity

The Master of Science in Cybersecurity will train the next generation of professionals for careers in industry, government, and academia to safeguard our society and our world. The M.S. in Cybersecurity will be offered on campus and online. The program provides students with the latest technical knowledge and skills in cybersecurity and privacy principles and the engineering aspects of software and hardware security to build secure systems that are resistant to attack.
