Bio

Anderson Uchôa is an Assistant Professor of Software Engineering at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), Brazil, and currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Computer Science at North Carolina State University (NC State), USA. Previously, he served as a Substitute Professor at the Institute of Computing of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil, in 2021.

He received his MSc and PhD in Informatics, with a focus on Software Engineering, from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), Brazil, in 2019 and 2021, respectively. He also holds a BSc in Software Engineering from UFC and was an exchange student at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.

His research interests include Software Engineering for AI-enabled Systems (SE4AI), AI for Software Engineering (AI4SE), Mining Software Repositories, Software Maintenance and Evolution, and Human Aspects of Software Engineering. He has collaborated with researchers and practitioners from Brazil, the United States, Germany, France, and Italy through academic and industry-oriented research projects.

His work has been published in leading international conferences and journals in Software Engineering, including ICSE, ICSME, MSR, ESEM, SANER, IEEE Software, Information and Software Technology, and Software Quality Journal.
