Bio

Bowen Xu is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at NC State University. Before joining NC State, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Computing and Information Systems at Singapore Management University, where he also earned his Ph.D. His research interests lie in the intersection of machine learning and software engineering, with a focus on securing AI models for software engineering tasks from both model and data perspectives.

Xu serves as general co-chair of the SEA4DQ workshop at ESEC/FSE 2024 and previously co-organized the MaLTeS workshop at ESEC/FSE 2022. He has served as a program committee member and reviewer for major software engineering conferences and journals, including ICSE, FSE, ASE, TSE, TOSEM, and EMSE. His work has received several research paper awards.
